It is available only to DD Free Dish users. It was launched on 9 April 2021 by Zee Entertainment Enterprises. It is the No.1 channel in Maharashtra and Goa amongst free platform

It is specifically targeted at a rural audience, due to its presence on the DD Free Dish platform. Zee Chitramandir and Zee Talkies’ sole competitor is Shemaroo MarathiBana.

It was supposed to be launched as Zee Zabardast, then was renamed to Zee Chitramandir before its launch on 9 April 2021 (though the soft launch on DD Free Dish was on 1 April). This comes a few months after the launch of Marathi music channel Zee Vajwa on 17 October 2020.

B4U Music is a free to air music television channel owned by the B4U Network. The channel broadcasts a mixture of contemporary Bollywood, Indipop, Bhangra and international music.

6 May 2000

The channel began broadcasting in 2000 becoming the second B4U channel after B4U Movies.There are now four different versions of the channel being broadcast in Europe, North America, Africa, the Middle East and South Asia. Each feed produces a quantity of local programming which reflects the culture and tastes of the local population of the Indian diaspora.

In Qatar the channel launched in 2009 and closed in 2019.
